I follow the idea of the others that replied. The fact that it isn't
necessary to install a plugin is one of the most important advantages
from MAJAS/GeGIS. In a lot of professional environments it is not
allowed for normal users to install plugins... 

The advantages offered by flex would have to be very big to throw away
the advantage of not needing any plugin.
