Step 2: SVG Plugin

One of the assets of geGIS is that it simply starts in a web browser. Naturally, this is not so obvious. In order to generate and plot maps and the like, geGIS uses SFV technology. This is standard technology in a recent FireFox browser, but other browsers, such as Internet Explorer, do not have this technology.
In order to be able to run geGIS in Internet Explorer, an SVG Plugin needs to be installed. This Plugin can be found at the Adobe web site:
Adobe SVG Viewer
To test whether your browser supports SVG, go to the (Adobe SVG Test Page). If you see a clock, this means that everything works as it should be. Carefull! This clock does not work in Firefow anymore and only works in Internet Explorer.
