Step 13: User config
<- Step 12: Your own application Step 14: WFS configuration ->
Now that you have made an application, all you need to do is to set the personal configuration of all users who have been defined for this application. If you authorised several users for the application in the previous step, you must repeat this step several times, for each of these users.
First go to the “User config” through the link in the menu. This page is comparable to that of the applications. Now select an authorised user for your application (if you did not make any changes to the list of users in the previous step, then select “guest”) and click on "Change configuration".
The figure above shows the configuration of the “guest” user. This user has two application elements. Each of these application elements has a ‘ref’ attribute which refers to the ‘ref’ attribute from an application configuration of the previous step. In other words, this user has a personal configuration for the "hello" and "Wevelgem" applications. Wevelgem is the actual name of the demo application (for more details, see MAJAS documentation).
What you need to do now is to add a new application element for the new test application. See the figure below.
A problem has occurred here! As shown on the figure, there are eight question marks in the configuration. The reason for this is that you need to determine to which geographical coordinates the user is confined, and on which coordinates the camera should be at the time when the user logs in. Let us take the “hello” application as an example. When logging in, “East Flanders” immediately became visible and the user was confined to the Flemish Region alone.
Make sure you enter the coordinates using the same system of coordinates as the one in which they are stored in the database/shapefile. In most cases this will be Lambert72.
It may be easier to actually fill in these coordinates using the "Coordinates" link in the menu. Remember to do this for 2 elements: "initialMapExtent" and "maxMapExtent". In the "initialMapExtent" the coordinates are visible when the user logs in. The "maxMapExtent" is the maximum extent for this user.
When everything is filled in, it is time to store the changes by clicking on “Store!”. You can still check the form of the user configuration by clicking on “Check configuration” in the “user config”, just like with the applications.
